Do you know who is first referred as the first programmer? Who developed first English language data processing compiler? Who was the first person to have PC in home? Who is the CEO of globally used online video sharing & social media platform? Definitely, one common thing in everyone above is : "They all are Women ."

Thereby, it's clear that technology helps to enable & empower everyone irrespective of any background (gender, race, religion, etc). So, why women is being given special preference? how diversity in tech is becoming a matter of concern? Single Line Answer to it is:

Every action has equal and opposite reaction.

Let's come to the point: #WomenWhoTech, what we mean by it?

  • It is a scaled-way to encourage gender diversity in tech, reduce public women-related violations & support equality to strive & grow for the development of society globally.
  • It also enlightens a path to discuss ideas, feedbacks & stories to observe the root-cause analysis & incorporating newer improvements either via technology or community enabled programmes.

Contribution Towards Women in Tech:

  • Built a community of 7000+ folks namely IIITians Network which supports diversity inclusion in technology, helping each other by building projects, sharing experiences, connecting dots with alumni-network & organising events.

  • Worked with a tech-savy lady namely Nikita Mahoviya to lead a community namely I AM AN NITIAN, handling content, making students aware of opportunities to excel their career growth.

  • Mentored an undergrad student namely Ashpreet Kaur to become Google WTEF Scholar, first female-student from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota, thus helping to develop tech-culture in an Indian Tier-2 college .

  • Organised C2D (Code2Develop), 48 Hours PAN India Flagship Hackathon of COMETLABS with 720+ participants registered, 20+ companies partnered and it catered diversity-inclusion specific track to build hack as well as rewarded Girls' Team Winner.

  • Mentoring a women co-founder, namely Riddhi Desai of tech early-stage startup to develop cyber-security solutions.

In order to conclude, I would like to mention that there is need of encouragement to novel concepts like #WomenWhoTech, #WomenAtWork to make a well-developed & cultured global community.
